Empire: Total War

Empire: Total War is the new strategy game from The Creative Assembly and Sega. Released on March 3rd for America and 4th for Europe, it is one of the most eagerly awaited Total War games of all time. With many new features, including the ability to play out Naval Battles, and a brand new engine allowing more features and stunning graphics.


Empire Total War is set in the 18th century, the age of gunpowder and sail. This marks a break from tradition in Total War games. All titles up to Medieval 2: Total War focused mainly on hand to hand combat, but now strategies will have to change accordingly. No longer is a cavalry charge the scariest thing in the world, nor is the sight of a thousand longbowmen a sure bet of victory. The battlefield is now dominated by artillery, pike and shot, and anyone who does not keep up is sure to be dealt a swift and bloody defeat.
